The project began with vague notions about what the design should become, however keeping the mark simple and straigntforward while communicating multiple locations, many people, and numerous venue-types were the primary goals.

Finalizing Concepts

After numerous sketches, presentations, and iterations, we were finally able to land on something that both met the clients communication needs and presented well visually. The base of the icon is based on my earlier work for the App Icon Brand Architecture, which allows for the primary field too represent the application mark, while the brown base provides an extension of the brand itself.
